Apply for Hope College International Scholarship Program 2021
Academic Tuition Scholarships are given based on academic record and involvement in service and leadership activities. Awards are for 4 yrs and range from $5,000 to $25,000. Students are encouraged to apply by December and award notifications are made in March.

The application for admission serves as the application for scholarship consideration. No separate application is necessary.

Requirements 1: Must complete application for admission which includes academic record, personal statement, TOEFL, and Declaration of Finances.

Hope College International Scholarship Program 2021 Scholarship Criteria
(for first-year students entering Fall 2021)

Each of these scholarships is guaranteed through your sophomore year and renewable for your two remaining years if you maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (Presidential and higher awards) or cumulative GPA of 2.75 (Distinguished Scholar Award and lower).
The Hope International Scholarship application is available in 5 subject area of concentration, they include the list below:
Apply for the DAA in creative writing by submitting:
- The application form, including:
- A 500-word essay
- A letter of recommendation
- 10 typed pages of your creative writing
Applications for the Distinguished Artist Awards in Creative Writing are due February 1, 2022.
To keep this scholarship, you’ll need to maintain a 2.6 GPA at Hope and enrol in at least one creative writing class each year.
Due to COVID-19, all dance DAA auditions will be conducted via online application. You will need to submit the required paperwork along with a 3–4 minute video of yourself demonstrating ballet, jazz, tap and modern. Please include the following items:
- Head shot (hair in bun)
- A letter of recommendation from a current dance instructor
- A one-page essay answering the question: “What is it about the dance program at Hope that interests and excites you?”
Applications for the Distinguished Artist Awards in Dance are due February 6, 2022.
All auditioners will be notified in early March.
To keep this scholarship, you’ll need to maintain a 2.6 GPA, enrol in a minimum of two dance classes per semester, and participate in dance programming.
MUSIC THEATRE
Apply for the DAA in theatre by completing the application form.
Applications for the Distinguished Artist Awards in Theatre are due February 7, 2022.
To keep this scholarship, you’ll need to major or minor in theatre.
You can apply for the DAA in the Visual Arts by submitting:
- The application form, including your portfolio of digital slides/images
Applications for the Distinguished Artist Award are due February 1, 2022.
To keep this scholarship, you’ll need to maintain a 2.60 GPA and enrol in at least one studio art or art history course per semester.
