Court Order Forfeiture Of Deizani’s Land In Port Harcourt

The confiscation of plot of properties owned by Diezani Madueke, former minister of petroleum resources, in Port Harcourt, state of Rivers. The federal high court in Lagos was instructed.

EFCC authority informed the judge that the property, “measuring 7,903.71 – 8,029,585 square meters” and marked as Plot 9, Azikiwe Road, Old GRA (UAC Property on Forces Avenue), Port Harcourt, was adequately suspected of being part of the proceeds from illegal behavior.

The committee prayed to the tribunal for an order to allow an individual or company to be appointed to handle the asset/property.


It encouraged the tribunal to ban any asset/property disposal, conveyance, mortgage, lease, sale or alienation or otherwise.

Ebuka Okongwu, a member of the Anti-Craft Agency, asserted that the judge had the authority to issue the forfeiture order pursuant to section 17 of the 2006 Law on advance fee fraud and other associated crimes.
