Federal Ministry of Education Scholarship Application Form 2020/2021 Opens

Applicants are hereby invited to participate in the 2020/2021 Nomination Computer Based Test (CBT) for the Federal Government Scholarship Awards for:

  1. BILATERAL EDUCATION AGREEMENT (BEA)
  2. Undergraduate (UG) studies tenable in Russia, Morocco, Algeria, Serbia, Hungary, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Cuba, Romania, Japan, Macedonia; and
  1. Postgraduate (PG) studies tenable in Russia (for those whose first degrees were obtained from Russia), China, Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, e.t.c.

2.0 All qualified candidates are advised to:

  1. Visit Federal   Ministry  of  Education’s  website    www.education.gov.ng  and  click  on

Federal Scholarship Board ICON on the Home Page:

  1. Read Guidelines and then Complete the Application Form online c. Print the Examination slip.

NOTE/Warning: Double Entries will be disqualified!

3.0 FIELDS OF STUDY

  1. Undergraduate level – Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics, Languages, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Medicine (very limited), etc.; and
  2. Postgraduate level (Masters Degree and PhD) in all fields.

4.0 CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY

  1. UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS: All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of Five (5) Distinctions (As & Bs) in the Senior Secondary School Certificates, WASSCE/WAEC (May/June) only in the subjects relevant to their fields of study including English Language and Mathematics. Certificates should not be more than two (2) years old (2018 & 2019) for Non-African Countries and for African countries the age of certificate is one year (2019) only. Age limit is from 18 to 20 years.

 

  1. POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS: All applicants for Postgraduate degree courses must hold a First Degree with 1st Class or at least 2nd Class Upper Division. The applicants who are previous recipients of Foreign Awards must have acquired at least two (2) years post qualification experience or employment practice in Nigeria. All applicants must have completed the N.Y.S.C. Programme and the age limit is 35 years for Masters and 40 years for Ph.D.

 Y.S.C discharge or exemption certificates only are accepted; and

  1. ii) Evidence of readiness to be released by an employer.

GENERAL NOTE FOR ALL APPLICANTS:

  1. Since the BEA countries are non-English speaking, applicants should be prepared to undertake a mandatory one-year foreign Language course of the Country of choice which will be the standard medium of instruction;
  2. Japan applicants must have a solid background in further mathematics;
  • The required certificate for candidates applying for Bachelor in Imamat, Quran Teaching Professor and Imam Preacher Training for Islamic Religious studies in Algeria is WASSCE/WAEC, and no other certificate is accepted;
  1. All applicants for Hungarian Scholarship can apply for up to two fields of study in order of preference, and must visit the website: stipendiumhungaricum.hu which will hopefully be opened between October and November 2019,

Complete the application form online,

Print the completed form and bring to the interview venue in addition to 2.0 above;

  1. All applicants for Russian Postgraduate Scholarship must have acquired their 1st Degree in Russia;
  2. All Applicants to upload their certificates online;

 

  • The duration for Serbian undergraduate scholarship is Eight (8) years general courses and Nine (9) years for Medicine and postgraduate studies, 3-4years for MSC and 5-6years for PhD.

NB:      Candidates nominated by the Board will be required to submit to Federal Scholarship Board the following:

  1. Authenticated copies of academic certificates;
  2. Data page of the current International passport;
  • Specified Medical Reports from Government hospitals;
  1. National Identification Number (NIN)

 Police Clearance Certificate where necessary.

  1. B. NIGERIA AWARD SCHOLARSHIP (NA) 2020/2021 FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS TENABLE IN NIGERIA TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS FOR NA

THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NIGERIAN AWARD IS AS FOLLOWS:

  • Applicants for Postgraduate studies should possess a minimum of first degree with Second Class Honours Upper Division. Applicant must be registered Full-Time students of Federal or State Universities.
  • All other applicants (UG, HND & NCE) must be registered full-time students in their second year or above in Federal or State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Colleges of Education. All undergraduate Scholarship applicants (Physically challenged inclusive) must have at least 4.0 Cumulative Grade Points Aggregate (CGPA) on a five (5) point scale or its equivalents or 5.0 on a 7 point scale.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: NA

  • The scholarship is tenable in Nigeria and takes effect from the beginning of the academic session.
  • It shall not be held at the same time with another Award nor for part-time studies.
  • Change of course or Institution is not allowed.
  • The Scholarship award is to assist the scholar in the payment of:

 

  1. Institutional charges and fees and
  2. For Personal maintenance.

University of Ibadan Resumption Date for 200, 300, 400 level students announced

Canada 2020 - International Entrance Scholarship At University of Calgary

The University of Ibadan (UI) line with the directive of the State Government for all tertiary institutions to resume academic activities after the lockdown due to the spread of the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19), the College Management has directed that all 300 level and 400 level students are to resume on Monday 14th September 2020 for academic activities.


You are to take note of the following;

  • 400 and 300 Level students are resuming on Monday 14th September 2020 for REVISION
  • 200 Level students are resuming a week later for REVISION
  • 400 and 300 Level students will commence the 2019/2020 academic session first-semester examination on Monday 21st September 2020
  • 200 Level students will commence the 2019/2020 academic session first-semester examination on Friday 25th September 2020
  • 100 Level students will be on the date of resumption at a later date.
  • Students that are resuming are to maintain social distancing at all times
  • All students are to appear with their individual face masks before admittance into the College premises
  • Students are also advised to make use of Hand Sanitizers at each entry point in the College Premises.
  • All Students must come with their identity cards and examination pass to the examination venues

Federal Teachers Scheme (FTS) Recruitment 2020 Application Form Commenced

Federal Teachers Scheme Shortlist 2020

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for recruitment into the Federal Teachers’ Scheme (FTS) for 2020/2021 service period. The Federal Teachers’ Scheme (FTS) is a two-year intervention programme established by the Federal Government in 2006 to assist States in addressing teacher shortage at the basic education level.

ELIGIBILITY FTS Recruitment 2020

Only candidates who fulfill the following conditions need to apply for FTS Recruitment 2020

  1. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education or Bachelor degree with Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), of not lower than Second Class (Lower Division) and not earned earlier than 2014.
  2. Must have completed or been exempted from the NYSC Scheme.
  3. Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with credit passes in Teaching Practice and the Teaching Subjects, and not earned earlier than 2014, with specialisation in any of the following subjects:

a. English Language

b. Mathematics

c. Integrated Science

d. Biology, Chemistry and Physics

e. Agricultural Science

f. Home Economics

g. Computer Science

h. Technical/Technology Education

i. Computer Science or Information Technology

j. Nigerian Languages


k. Physical and Health Education

iv) Not more than 35 years of age.

v) Not currently employed or enrolled under the NYSC, N-Power or any similar programme.

DURATION:

The service period is for two (2) years or as may be determined by the Universal Basic Education Commission.

REMUNERATION

The Federal Government shall pay each participant an allowance of N30,000.00 per month.

METHOD OF APPLICATION FOR FTS Recruitment 2020

Application Form shall be completed online. Interested candidates who fulfil the above-listed eligibility criteria should visit https://fts.admissions.clouds to complete and submit their application Forms online. Candidates will be required to upload their credentials (as listed on the site) together with their most recent passport photograph.

Federal Teachers Scheme Recruitment 2020 application portal shall be open for two (2) weeks, from 10th – 24th September 2020. There will be no extension.

However, prior to the examination, there would be Mock examination on Monday 14th September 2020 at FCT, Abuja and Lagos Centres.
