How to Check if your NIN has been Successfully Linked with Your Sim

Following the order by FG that all telecom operators should disconnect all sims not synced with the National Identification Number (NIN), here is a quick tip on how to check if yours has NIN linked.

To check if your NIN is registered with your sim, kindly dial *346# and press 1

To know if your NIN has successfully linked to your sim, kindly go through the tweet replies below.

For Glo Users

Some people will still have NIN linked as long as they completed their registration appropriately even though they don’t have the National ID Card (NIMC).

For MTN Users


We also gathered that the N20 charges for obtaining your NIN through the USSD code has been lifted.

For Airtel Users

If your NIN has been successfully lined, you will receive an SMS from Airtel that your NIN has been successfully linked.

The submission of NIN by subscribers to take place within two weeks (from today December 16, 2020, and end by April 2021) After the deadline, all SIMs without NINs are to be blocked from the networks.

For 9mobile users

Finally, you are still expected to visit your network service providers’ officer for complaint and more information regarding the NIN-SIM registration.
