All those who wish to enter the UK must complete the UK Travel Health Certificate, known as the Public Passenger Locator Form. The goal is to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The United Kingdom has introduced a new public passenger locator form to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. All individuals travelling to the United Kingdom are now required to complete the Public Passenger Locator Form before entering the country.

Governments around the world have implemented similar health certificates in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The contact details and travel information provided can be used to more effectively track overseas visitors and minimize infection rates.

After registering their details with the online Public Passenger Locator system, travellers are issued with a reference number and barcode which they will be required to present on arrival.


Who Needs to Complete the Public Passenger Locator Form for the United Kingdom?

As part of coronavirus travel restrictions in the United Kingdom, all overseas visitors are required to fill out and submit the Public Passenger Locator Form.

Travellers are advised to submit the UK travel health certificate electronically before departure in order to avoid being held up at immigration. Anyone who arrives at the port of entry without having previously completed the application will be required to do so electronically before crossing the border.

How to Register for the Public Passenger Locator Form

To successfully complete the Public Passenger Locator Form, travellers must provide basic personal data, contact details, and travel information, including:

  • Full name, age, and nationality
  • Email address and mobile telephone number
  • Date of arrival and departure

Travellers are also asked to declare whether they are currently experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. All the information provided must be accurate and truthful.
