The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has recently raised the registration fees for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scheduled for 2024, affecting thousands of young school leavers aspiring to gain admission into higher institutions in Nigeria.

How Much is Jamb Form for 2024?

In a released statement, JAMB clarified that the bill for UTME registration, including the mock exam, will now be ₦7,770, while the registration for UTME without mock exams will cost ₦6,200. Before this adjustment, the cost of the JAMB form without a mock exam was ₦5,700, and the one with a mock exam was ₦6,700.

Additionally, JAMB disclosed that the application fee for foreign candidates has been set at $30. Further details regarding the fees and registration process are expected to be provided by JAMB on or before January 15, 2024.


JAMB has also announced the date for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The main UTME exam is scheduled to take place from April 19 to April 29, 2024. Registration for the 2024 UTME is slated to commence on January 15, 2024, and will conclude on February 16, 2024. The Mock exam is scheduled for March 7, 2023.

Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson for JAMB, explained in the statement that these dates were determined based on recommendations from a two-day retreat with Information Technology and Management.

According to JAMB, the sale of UTME application documents will run from January 15 to February 26, 2024. Candidates are expected to begin printing their examination slips from April 10, 2024.

JAMB, being the governing body responsible for conducting examinations for applicants seeking admission into Nigerian public and private monotechnics, polytechnics, and colleges of education, continues to play a crucial role in the education sector.
