Huge Traffic Jam Along Lagos-Ibadan expressway

Due to the traffic jams at Ibafo-Magboro, up to the Wide path, the Federal Road Safety Corps warned car drivers to avoid the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

In and out of Lagos, the gridlock stalled traffic. Bisi Kazeem, the FRSC PRO, blamed the traffic jam on Julius Berger and advised motorists to take alternative routes to Lagos to avoid delay. LAGOS-OTA-ABEOKUTA ;  EPE-AJAH-IJEBU-ODE ; LAGOS-IKORODU-SAGAMU are the recommended different routes.

A Nigerian posted on Twitter about the venom gridlock: “@Toylink: don’t even think today about using LAGOS / IBADAN EXPRESSWAY. It’s a catastrophe. People slept n awakened in and still in the traffic. This is a country in chaos. This is d 7th month JB was in the road construction at one spot. I can’t imagine that this is a country.’

Ride with Gidicab also wrote on Twitter:”If you must travel on LAGOS IBADAN EXPRESSWAY this morning kindly use alternate routes. Its totally blocked 7;23am. Julius berger needs to be more pro active. Its a shame, 4 yrs we are on this #GIDITRAFFIC”.
