One of France’s most famous landmarks – the medieval Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris – has been engulfed by a massive fire.
According to report the building which is about 850-year-old has been brought down by fire.
The cause is not yet uncertain, but officials say that it could be linked to renovation work.
According to BBC report, the Catholic Church in France appealed for funds to save the building, which was already crumbling.
Meanwhile, all efforts are now being made to save the artwork of the cathedral and prevent its northern tower from collapsing.
