Endtime: Man kills wife’s lover in Ogun
The Ogun Police Command said it arrested a 25-year – old man on Wednesday for allegedly killing an Olakitan Balogun, whom he suspected to have a loving relationship with his wife.
The statement said the arrest was made after a distress call from Doland Estate residents to the Ajuwon Divisional Police Officer that a man had assassinated the concubine of his wife inside his house.
“The DPO, Afolabi Kazeem, led his detectives on the receipt of the distress call to the scene where the suspect was immediately arrested.” On interrogation, he explained that at about 12:30 on the fateful day he came to his house and met the deceased with his wife right inside the house.
However, the wife denied having any unlawful relationship with the deceased, according to the statement.
According to report, Police Commissioner Ahmed Iliyasu had already ordered the case to be immediately transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department’s homicide section for discreet investigation and prosecution of the case.
