Police Prevent Robbery Attempt, Kill Two In Lagos

The commanding officer, DSP Bala Elkana, explained that the incident occurred when the police received a distress call from the residents of Gafaru Street that a group of about seven armed robbers attacked the area.

He said, “The Armed robbers opened fire on sight of the officers but were subdued by our gallant teams ‘ superior firepower.

“Two suspects, namely 24-year – old Semiu Ibrahim and 29-year – old Francis Obi, were arrested while 29-year – old Chinozo Felix aka power and Ifeanyi Uche were killed.

“Unfortunately, when two others were injured and rushed to the treatment hospital, a state resident lost his life.”
