Manchester United have identified Everton’s Idrissa Gueye as a possible replacement for departing Ander Herrera, according to Daily Mail.
United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on bolstering his midfield options after Herrera’s exit was confirmed by the club on Saturday.
The club has seen Gueye, who is also wanted by PSG, as the ideal replacement for the Spaniard.
The Senegal international has enjoyed another fine season at Everton.
The midfielder still has three years remaining on his contract and Everton will demand nothing less than a fee of £40m.
According to the report, Solskjaer believes that Gueye’s tough-tackling style will help to bring out the best in Paul Pogba next term.
Manchester United, who failed to qualify for the Champions League next season, will conclude their Premier League campaign against Cardiff on Sunday.
