The Jessie Drey Memorial Scholarships 2021 is currently ongoing and will expire on 23rd August 2021, interested aspirants should take a look at the brief article as published by the institute.

The purpose of the scholarship is to fund two (2) scholarships not to exceed $10,000 each per year to be awarded every year for five (5) years if at least two qualified candidates apply each year. If there are not two (2) qualified candidates, unused scholarships will be rolled over to the next cycle. The first scholarships will be available in the academic year 2021-2022.

Jessie Drey Memorial Scholarships 2021 Eligibility

Recipients will be selected based on the following established criteria:

• Applicant(s) must be enrolled as a full-time student in the College of Community Innovation and Education each semester. Exceptions may be considered, but not for more than one semester.
• Applicant(s) must be a master, specialist or doctorate degree seeking student that is enrolled in one of the following areas: Elementary Education; Secondary Social Studies; or Secondary Language Arts (to include Drama, Humanities and Journalism).
• Applicant(s) must include a minimum of two years of academic transcripts or effective teacher evaluations.
• Preference given to applicants who include a brief statement of career goals and/or express intention/desire to continue their teaching career in Central Florida schools, either in the class or in administration.

This scholarship, to the extent funds, are available, may be used to pay for tuition, textbooks, fees, and any other items included in the cost of education published annually by the University. This scholarship may be renewed pursuant to the University’s policy for awarding scholarships.

Special notice to the selected scholarship recipient:
The donor of Jessie Drey Memorial Scholarships 2021 will be hosting a reception event for which you will be expected to attend. The event is planned for some time in the early Fall semester at a location approximately 20 minutes from the UCF campus.
