The NLNG scholarship is awarded annually to students. The deadline for submission of NLNG scholarships for Nigerian students is 31st July 2021.

About NLNG Scholarship Scheme 2021

The Nigeria LNG Scholarship Scheme started in 1998 as part of Nigeria LNG Limited’s Corporate Social Responsibility to Nigerian Citizens to enhance human capacity development.

The purpose of the Nigeria LNG Scholarship Award Scheme is to promote academic excellence amongst students in institutions in Rivers State and the rest of the country.

Post Primary Scholarship for NLNG Scholarship Scheme 2021

The program aims to assist high performing basic six pupils in Nigeria’s host communities and oil-producing states to access post-primary education without interruption.

The program was launched in 2012 with 28 beneficiaries and increased to 172 in 2015.

Prospective students are eligible for the scheme because of their excellent performance at the NECO’s annual Common Entrance Examinations.

Post Primary Scholarship Eligibilty for NLNG Scholarship Scheme 2021

Any prospective beneficiary must meet the following requirements:

• Be an indigene of NLNG host communities.
• Be a basic 5 or 6 pupil
• Provide his/her Basic Five result
• Must provide an attestation letter signed & stamped by the Head Teacher of his/her school (contact number of the Head Teacher also to be included)
• Provide an indigene confirmation letter signed by the CDC Chairman or Chief in his/her community.
• Provide a letter of identification from his/her Local Government Council.
• Not be a child or ward of staff of Nigeria LNG Limited.

NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship 2021

This is an award available for Nigerian undergraduate students. This was founded as a critical component of the education intervention programme for our host communities in 1998 and later opened up to the rest of Nigeria in 2003.

Level/Field of Study for NLNG Scholarship Scheme 2021

The NLNG undergraduate scholarship is available for Nigerian undergraduate students studying in any field across Nigerian tertiary institutions.

However, Apart from this ongoing NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship scheme 2021, there are other Nigerian undergraduates scholarships, such as Agbami Scholarship for Nigerian Undergraduate Students, NNPC-TOTAL Scholarship, Federal Government Scholarships 2021-2022 for Undergraduates and Postgraduates

NLNG Scholarship Scheme 2021 Benefit

• Scholarship recipient will receive the payment of a yearly Scholarship allowance as beneficiaries in Institutions in Nigeria.
• The value of the scholarship has been reviewed upward from N100, 000 to N300, 000 per awardee for an academic year and it runs throughout the duration of the student’s course. 

NLNG Scholarship Scheme 2021 Undergraduate Eligibility

Any prospective beneficiary must:

• Have excellent/very good West Africa School Certificate (WASC) or National Examination Council (NECO) result at ONE sitting
• Have a top score at the Joint Admissions & Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination
• Be a certified Full-Time Year-One student of any Nigerian University at the time of application
• Not be on any other Scholarship Award from other companies or agencies
• Not be a spouse, child, ward or direct relation of staff of Nigeria LNG Limited
