Isaiah 1:18-20

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

MESSAGE:
Disobedience is the major barrier between man and God. God wants to help everyone but disobedience deprives many from accessing divine assistance. The Bible says in Proverbs 1:24-26:
“Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;”

God is calling you today to repent of every act of disobedience you may have committed. Come to Him with every sense of humility so that whatever woes or sorrows you may be suffering can become history. The Lord is saying:
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1:18-20

Jesus Christ says “ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29).

If you have been battling with the sin of disobedience, I am appealing to you now to stop struggling because you cannot help yourself in this regard; only Jesus the Son of the Living God can help you. All you need to do is surrender your life to Him in genuine repentance. The Bible says in 1 John3:8:
“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

A careful study of the Bible would show us the glorious rewards of obedience and the terrible consequences of disobedience.

Beloved do you want to eat and keep eating the good of the land? Then stop rationalizing sin! Admit, confess and forsake every act of disobedience to God’s word and it shall be well with you, in Jesus’ name.

HYMN 23: STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF CHRIST MY KING.

  1. Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
    Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
    Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
    Standing on the promises of God.

o Refrain:
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.

  1. Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
    When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
    By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
    Standing on the promises of God.
  2. Standing on the promises I now can see
    Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
    Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,
    Standing on the promises of God.
  3. Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
    Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
    Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
    Standing on the promises of God.
  4. Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
    List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call,
    Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
    Standing on the promises of God.
