Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) HND & Pre-HND Admission Form for 2021/2022 Academic Session 1

Admissions into NBTE accredited Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes offered in the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) are open to the general public. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following programmes for the 2021/2022 Academic Session.

AFIT Pre-HND and HND Admission Requirements

  1. Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Aircraft Engineering Technology (Airframe and Power Plant Option), Aircraft Engineering Technology (Avionics Option), Mechanical Engineering Technology (Power and Plant Option), Mechanical Engineering Technology (Manufacturing)
    • ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50 and above) in the relevant field from recognized Polytechnics.
    • A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.
    • Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject from Agricultural Science, Applied Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Biology, Building Construction, Chemistry, Electronics, Further Mathematics, Geography, Metalwork, Physics and Technical Drawing.
  2. Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes in Purchasing and Supply
    • ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50 and above) in Business Administration and Management from recognized Polytechnics.
    • A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.
    • O’level credits to include Government or History and any two (2) of Economics, Geography, Civic Education, French, Arabic, Islamic Studies and Christian Religious Studies.
    • Evidence of compulsory Industrial Training (IT) or attachment in a reputable Health Institution.
  3. Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) Programmes in Aircraft Engineering Technology and Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology
    • ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Material Science Engineering
    • A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.
  4. Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) Programme in Purchasing and Supply
    • ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50) in any relevant field obtained from recognized polytechnics.
    • A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.

Interested candidates are to visit AFIT portal at www.afitportals.com and proceed as stated therein. To access the admission form, candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000.00) only for pre-HND / HND application using AFIT online payment portal.

Candidates are advised to visit the Institute’s website periodically for important information after application.
