The management of the Nigeria Police Academy has published the comprehensive list of all the courses offered at POLAC as approved by the National University Commission (NUC) for the 2023/2023 academic session.

POLAC is an accredited Degree Awarding Institution in Nigeria established in 2012 and registered as the 37th Federal Universities in Nigeria, the institution has so far graduated distinctive persons with a remarkable contribution to the Nigeria Police Force.

Polac Requirements for Admission 2023

Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must be Nigerian citizens and must be between 17 and 22 years of age, and must have a height of not less than 1.67 Metres (5 Feet 6 Inches) if male, and 1.62 Metres (5 Feet 4 Inches) if female. In addition, male candidates must have an expanded chest size of not less than 86cm (34 Inches for those between 21 and 22 years of age). All candidates must be free from any physical deformity or disability.

Candidates must have obtained a minimum of SIX (6) credits at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) at not more than 2 sittings. All Candidates must also have a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics as well as subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen course of study in the Academy.

Candidates must also obtain satisfactory scores in both the written examination and the interview and must pass physical and psychological tests of fitness

SSCE Statement of results or certificates relating to examinations taken before 2018 will not be accepted.

How to Apply for Polac Admission 2023

  1. Applicants MUST have their National Identification Number (NIN), a Functional Email address and a valid phone number before they commence the application.
  2. Applicants must have duly scanned copies of their original O’Level result(s) to be uploaded on the portal.
  3. Fill out and submit the Online form(Review the information before final submission).
  4. Applicant must print their completed online forms, and guarantor forms and submit same at the admission physical/examination screening centres.
  5. Applicant must have passion for a career in the Nigeria Police Force and must satisfy the following General Requirements.
    • Applicants shall be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess National Identity Number (NIN).
    • Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB with credit passes in English and Mathematics.
    • Applicants must be aged between 17-22 years.
    • Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must not be less than 1.67mtrs tall for males and 1.64mtrs tall for females.
    • Applicants must not have less than 86cm (34 inches) expanded chest measurements (for men only).
    • Female Applicant must not be pregnant at the time of admission.
    • Applicant must be free from any pecuniary embarrassment.

    The number of course offered in our police academy is too small, I urged the management and the government to increase the numbers of the courses, and to include course like robotic engineering.
