South Africa eligible voters are advised to visit the IEC Voters Portal to register. The IEC’s obligations are to: manage elections of national, provincial and municipal legislative bodies; ensure that those elections are free and fair; declare the results of those elections; and compile and maintain a national common voters’ roll.

Eligible voters can follow the steps below to register:

1. Go to https://registertovote.elections.org.za/Welcome
2. Click on “register to vote now”
3. Enter your personal details
4. Enter the one time pin sent to your mobile phone
5. Search for your address, or if probably you are at home, use the current location
6. you will recieve an SMS within 24 hours confirming your successful registration.
