PTAD "I AM ALIVE" Data Capturing and Verification Process 2021

PTAD “I am alive” data capturing is an act to show that the pensioner is still alive and active for their pension scheme. If you are a Federal Government PTAD beneficiary, it is important you read through these guidelines to learn how to get verified.

Steps for the “I AM ALIVE” Pilot Confirmation

Before you will be able to pass the PTAD Data capturing and verification, you will need to pass through two (2) processes. 1. Facial Recognition and 2. Fingerprint Confirmation.

FACIAL CONFIRMATION


  1. The Pensioner will log on to PTAD website: www.ptad.gov.ng using a smart phone/computer system, click on the “I AM ALIVE” icon at the top of the page and follow the instructions.
  2. Start the “I Am Alive” confirmation process following the 2 steps validation process:
    i. Enter your pensioners number;
    ii. Enter your Bank account number.
  3. Take your photo (it will be validated with the existing picture in the PTAD database).
  4. Perform the aliveness check by moving your face to follow the moving object on the screen.
  5. When the aliveness check is completed, confirmation page will display “Successful”
  6. The pensioner will receive an SMS notification of the successful completion of the process.

FINGERPRINT CONFIRMATION

  1. The pensioner will need to access a computer system with finger print device for finger print capturing.
  2. Log on to PTAD website: www.ptad.gov.ng, click on the “I Am Alive” icon at the top of the page and follow the instruction.
  3. Start the “I Am Alive” confirmation process following the 2 steps validation process:
    i. Enter your pensioners number;
    ii. Enter your Bank account number.
  4. Finger print validation (Place any of your finger on the finger print device for capturing).
  5. If the finger print is successfully captured, it will display “Successful”
  6. When the aliveness check is completed, the pensioner will receive an SMS notification of the successful completion.

Additional Information

PTAD is made up of the following departments (Section 43 (3) of the Pension Reform Act):

  • The Civil Service Pension Department (CSPD)
  • The Police Pension Department (PPD)
  • The Customs, Immigration and Prisons Pension Department (CIPPD)
  • The Treasury Funded Parastatals Pension Department (PaPD)
  • The Pensioner Support Services Department (PSSD)

In accordance with another Act of the National Assembly, the following pension departments were exempted from the consolidation and management of PTAD:

  • The Military Pension Department
  • The Security Agencies Pension Department
