How to Link NIN Number with your Driver’s License Online

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says it will start enforcing the National Identification Number (NIN) directive on driver’s license processing nationwide, with effect from Dec. 21.

In compliance with the Federal Government directive on Citizens’ Data Harmonization, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is to commence full enforcement on 21st December 2020 of the mandatory use of the National Identification Number (NIN) as a pre-requisite for obtaining Driver’s Licence in Nigeria. Accordingly, all applications for Driver’s Licence will only be processed upon the submission of a valid NIN.

Furthermore, applicants details presented for obtaining Driver’s Licence must match the registered information on the National Identification Management Commission (NIMC) NIN database.

All applicants for Driver’s Licence who do not possess the National Identification Number are by this notice advised ensuring they obtain same from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) before submitting any application for Driver’s Licence.


How to Link NIN Number with your Driver’s License Online

To link your NIN Number with driver’s license, you have to visit the official website of FRSC and click login.

Input your details and click edit application for existing application, add your NIN number and click update.

For those who are acquiring their driver’s licence for the first time all you have to do is to input your NIN Number in the space provided when filling the form.
