Job Title: Network Operations Manager

Location: Lagos

Reporting To: Business Manager

Role Purpose

  • This role will be responsible for all the operations and maintenance activities of the Business Unit (BU).

Responsibilities


  • Set and ensure targets are achieved by the various units within the Business Unit (BU) and Undertaking (UT).
  • Conduct audit records of all activities of each functioning unit to ensure compliance to operational procedures that will bring about quality output.
  • Focus on loss reduction, prevention of equipment failure and accident reduction strategies.
  • Inspect, test and commission new Distribution Sub-Stations to be connected to the system.
  • Manage and maintain 0.415kv & 11kv networks as well as patrolling and restoration of 33kv feeders on fault within the Business Unit.
  • Assess the distribution network performance and identify areas of weaknesses for improvement purposes.
  • Plan, design, execute and supervise the distribution extension, rehabilitation and maintenance activities on 11kV and 415V networks.
  • Collaborate with CHQ on periodic reports and updates
  • Allocate materials from Stores to Business Unit and Undertakings.
  • Ensure proper material utilization is done as per business process.
  • Carry out commercial and electrical load surveying of 11KV feeders and Distribution Sub-Station.
  • Inspect, test and commissioning new distribution network feeders and DT S/S projects intended to be connected to the BU network.
  • Conduct audit of the files/records of all activities of each functioning unit to ensure compliance to operational methods that will bring about quality output.
  • Focus on loss reduction, prevention of equipment failure and accident reduction strategies.
  • Review and forward annual budget/ revenue target for the business unit for approval from corporate office
  • Take responsibility for compliance with all Quality Management System /Operation Health & System related activities in the department as documented in the departmental operations manual, risk assessment register and other relevant documents.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Power) field with at least 15 years’ experience.
  • Post graduate qualification/ degree in power/ electrical engineering is an added advantage.
  • Possession of certifications in Engineering is required;
  • Membership of a professional body is required e.g. NSE, COREN.
